

In September 2020, the series was reported to be rebooted as Oggy and the Cockroaches: Next Generation in where Oggy takes care of Piya, a seven-year-old female elephant from India. The show premiered on September 1998 on France 3, and later expanded internationally. The show employs silent comedy: characters either do not speak, or use unintelligible vocalizations and gestures.
